Top 4 teams from each grade will be playing semi-finals: 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd.
The winners of these matches will play immediately after in the Gold match. The losers of the semi-finals will need to provide at least 4 people to assist in dutying the final match: 1 first referee, 1 second referee and 2 linespeople.
Semi-finals will be played with the following conditions:
• 1 hour timed, best-of-3 sets. That means that once a team wins 2 sets, the match is finished.
• 10 minute warm up still applies.
• If a third set is required, the winner shall be first to 15 points with a 2-point lead. Third set will count as a set once a team reaches 8 points. If set score is 1-1 and the third set is incomplete when time expires, the team with the most points across the entire match will be the winner. If teams are still equal, the higher ranked team will be the winner.
• Match will start at scheduled time where possible.
• If unable to do so, first serve shall be 10 minutes after the completion of the previous match.
• ‘Fill in’ players not permitted. If you play with a player not on your team list your match will be forfeit.
Gold match will be played with the same conditions as semi-finals, except there will be no time limit. The team that wins 2 sets will be the overall winner.
All Gold match warmups will start at 9pm.
There will be consolation matches for those teams that did not make finals, except for Hits and Giggles due to uneven team count.
These matches will be played as we normally do during season: 1 hour time limit, best-of-5 sets. The results of these games don’t count towards anything, you have the court for an hour to play social volleyball, so have some fun.
